  • My name is Julie Sansoni.
    I am an Italian woman with a multicultural background, born in Pescia, Tuscany, to a French mother and an Italian father. I pursued my education in foreign languages, studying in Germany and France. My artistic passion led me to focus on children's literature, where I created artistic books and wrote numerous stories, often centered around nature as the ultimate protagonist. I also ventured into theater, staging my fairy tales and involving children in the creative process.

  • The materials I use are simple to emphasize the color's form. The canvas is made from 100 gr paper and colored tissue paper glued with vinyl glue.

  • The lamps have dimensions of 17x17x33cm.

Erin Murphy - Carta Illuminata -

  • I am Erin Murphy, an artist and educator with a particular passion for the art and artisans of Florence and for all that is genuine and handmade. It may have been my habit of taking long, meandering walks that led to my involvement and relationships with so many extraordinary makers of all kinds: sculptors, painters, mask makers, wood workers, gilders, mosaicists, jewelers, tailors, ceramicists, restorers and more. Over the decades I have seen the “Genio Fiorentino” in action- that curiosity and inventiveness which leads people to find unique and beautiful ways to make the things we surround ourselves with in our lives. I recognize this same spirit of Tuscan ingenuity in Lamp Jour. For this reason, I dedicate my first series of lampshades to Carlo Saitta, using his masterful marbleized paper so that he may continue to illuminate and inspire us.
